Collaborations

A small annual program inviting independent designers to develop a wallpaper line with us, shipped under their name and built around the practice they already have.

The program is a way to give designers the line they should already have, and a room that ought to be done well.

From the studio

This page is the door to a program we keep quiet. Each year, a small cohort of independent interior designers is invited to develop a wallpaper line with us, designed around their aesthetic and carried in our catalogue under their name.

Most of the cohort is approached directly. A reserved share of seats goes to designers who introduce themselves through this page. If the work below describes your practice, we’d be glad to hear from you.

The collaboration is, in part, a way to give designers the line they should already have. It is also, in part, a way to do a room that ought to be done well, in a place that matters to you. We’ll come back to that below.

The shape of the program

Four parts
The line

A collection in your name

A wallpaper line designed around your aesthetic, carried under your name, and shelved beside the rest of the catalogue.

The page

An editorial home

A page on our site that’s yours. Your practice, your point of view, your patterns, in your voice and with the editorial care of the rest of the site.

The samples

Samples without friction

Samples from your patterns, on us, in the quantities you need to specify, present, and put in front of a client.

The room

A room with weight

You pick a room that matters. A shelter, a library, a clinic, a school. You choose the pattern and lead the design. We cover the wallpaper. The room gets done with your name on the work.

What we look for in a practice

A defined point of view, in patterns and in interiors. A body of work we can sit with for a while and learn something from. A track record of doing meaningful work in the community you’re part of, whether that’s a board, a pro bono engagement, or a project nobody was watching.

We don’t weight scale, geography, or press. We weight what the work looks like and where it shows up.
