Where it works

A best-seller list is a shortcut for the rooms you have not decided on yet. For a dining room the first page says black or burgundy: Peony Bouquet, Burgundy Sunflower, Ink Peony. For a bedroom it says sage and cream: Dogwood Branch, Sage Poppy, Woodland Songbird. For a bathroom or a mudroom it says fish, Speckled Trout in rows on cream. For a hallway it says something with height, Dusk Meadow, whose umbellifers start at the skirting and thin as they climb.

Picking between the designs

The top of the list is a fair sample of the whole range. Engraved Peony is the woodcut line, cream peonies inside a charcoal thicket. Burgundy Sunflower is the packed Victorian ground. Pressed Blooms is the multicoloured still life. Navy Deco is the geometric, Cacao Pods the dark botanical, Orange Grove the neutral, Pink Tulip the mirrored Arts and Crafts design.
