Where it works

Brown is the colour of boot rooms, studies, snugs and the hallway with the dog basket in it, and this collection knows it. Grey Dogs, labradors and pointers painted on warm grey, and Speckled Trout in rows on cream are the boot-room pair. Autumn Roses, blush roses on dark chocolate, and Brown Leaves, copper oak leaves on near-black, belong in a study, or in a dining room that gets used at night. The Morris Hidden Treasures, golden grapes on deep russet, suits a hallway with dark timber.

Picking between the designs
