These are the designs for rooms that need to stay bright: a small bathroom, a north-facing bedroom, a hallway with no window. Bamboo Sprigs and Greyscale Bamboo leave most of the white bare, so they add pattern without taking any light. Woven Blossom and Sketched Blossom put white flowers on warm greige and pale grey grounds, which is the kinder choice where pure white would look clinical against older woodwork.

Picking between the designs

Ask how much ink you want. The bamboo pair and Rolling Waves are black on white; Rolling Waves fills the whole surface with pen-and-ink swells and is the boldest thing in the collection, for a cloakroom or a single wall. The blossom designs, Woven Blossom, Aqua Dogwood on brushed duck-egg and the Morris Sweet Briar Light on chalky off-white, are white flowers on a tinted ground and read softest.
