Choosing woodland wallpaper

Where it works

Woodland designs are the natural choice for a nursery or a child's bedroom, but the drawing on most of these is fine enough for grown-up rooms too. Woodland Songbird, faded ink and watercolour on parchment, and Toadstool Meadow, cabbage roses and toadstools on stone grey, are right for a bedroom or a study where people stand close. Sketched Pines is the restful one, for a hallway. For evening rooms there are Gold Finches, on a teal so dark it reads black, and Navy Acorns on deep navy.

Picking between the designs

Decide on the creature. Birds: Woodland Songbird, Gold Finches, Barn Owls drawn in crisp dark outline on slate blue, Wren Song, Oak Songbird, Coral Peony with a life-size teal bird among peonies.
